Bed and Breakfast Accommodation in Edinburgh

Bed and breakfast accommodation is one of the best choices when you visit Edinburgh. It will give you the freedom to explore the region and its many fine restaurants and pubs whilst also giving you a great start to the day. There are two categories of bed and breakfast in Edinburgh however they often overlap and are intended merely as a guide. The first is the hotel based bed and breakfast. This is offered by most of the hotels in Edinburgh from the more basic national chain hotels to the more grandiose countryside hotels. They all differ on price and location with the cheaper hotels being nearer to the city centre and the airports and other transportation links.

The other form of bed and breakfasts is the smaller guesthouse. These offer a more personable service than the hotels and are often much smaller, allowing for a cosier feel. They welcome families and the guesthouses themselves range from converted farms to specially built houses. As we said these categories overlap with some of the hotels being run more like guesthouses and some of the guesthouses being the size of hotels.
